Misty Mountain took their Cadillac harness, injected steroids into it, gave it a better color, and catered it towards military special operations.... in the end, we have the Misty Mountain Cadillac Tactical! Spend the extra money and buy a harness that will last you forever and take you through any rock climbing or mountaineering adventures, anywhere on the planet! For me, it's a no brainer. Our ears grew big as we heard the needs of Mountain Ranger Instructors, JSOC operators, PJs and SEALs for the ultimate sit harness. Recurring themes were strength, durability, comfort, abrasion resistance, plus ease of use while wearing gloves, and strong connection points for easier, safer transitions. Working with our top designers and craftspeople, we've distilled their thoughts into a new climbing harness - Misty Mountain’s Cadillac Tactical - a SF tactical sit harness that will start out of the gate as a favorite. We took everything that we've learned designing and manufacturing the most sought after climbing harnesses for over twenty-five years, and built the Cadillac Tactical specifically for special forces operations. Designed with four T-6 Aluminum quick-adjust buckles for ease of adjusment, it’s available in five different interchangable sizes for proper fit and optimum comfort. The new Cadillac Tactical comes in a choice of two monochromatic color schemes, Black or Coyote Brown. Features include four strong, integrated, 6” gear loops (5” in small size) with TRELLEBORG high abrasion reinforced neoprene outer layer, which has a unique tactile feel to enable finding in low visibility. TWEAVE DURASTRETCH High Tenacity Nylon knit inner layer is durable, abrasion resistant and dries quickly. Removable leg loops feature auto-block attachment loops wrapped in TRELLEBORG outer layer for clipping a carabiner into for rappel back-up. Leg loops adjust for thigh girth and dorsal rise, and include rear quick-release for drop-seat capability. Cadillac Tactical waist belt and leg loops feature wide, force distributing sublayers built from puncture resistant Emtex SNAKEGUARD and abrasion resistant 1000 Denier nylon CORDURA with nylon binding edge tape. Sublayers spread forces over a wider surface area of 0.19” thick 4 lb LD-60 Plastizote foam padding for optimum comfort with minimum bulk. Spreading forces over a wider surface area reduces the maximum arrest forces experienced by the climber in a fall or hanging situation. Soft foam outer edges roll for comfort, and Misty Mountain’s proprietary 1” flat black anodized 6061 T-6 Aluminum 2 piece quick-adjust buckles slide smoothly and lock flawlessly as needed with abrasion resistant 1" tubular nylon ClimbSpec structural webbing. Additional features include a front, 6,075 lb rated 3/4” nylon belay/rappel loop, rear haul loop, rear carabiner slots (sizes Large through XXL only) and four 1" lightweight bartack reinforced nylon tail tuck tabs. Waist belt features two side 11/16” elasticized tail tucks between gear loops to stow loose tail webbing ends. Front rope attachment points are nylon reinforced for abrasion resistance and durability. (Black is reinforced with 400 Denier Nylon Webbing.
